My rankings have dropped! What should I do?
A loss in visibility in the search engine result pages can be due to many reasons.
The first thing you should do is take a comprehensive inventory of everything that has been done to your website since day zero.
Do not decide to get more links. Do not decide to create more content. Don’t do anything until you have a solid history of all the links that were built and have run a technical SEO audit across the entire website.
The biggest mistake you can make is to take actions without identifying the root cause of the loss in rankings and conversions. This is the role of what a professional SEO does: data-driven diagnosis and recommendations.
Do I need SEO?
It’s difficult to give you an answer without knowing more about your business.
If prospective customers need to do research about a service or product that you offer you should definitely consider SEO. By understanding the type of questions your customers have you can get in front of them with useful informational content.
But not all businesses are a good fit for SEO.
If you’re in the hospitality business, organic SEO should not be your primary priority. This is because restaurants and bars benefit from social media, word of mouth marketing, and visual platforms (e.g., Instagram).
However, getting maximum visibility in Google Maps should be for most localized businesses and this is where something like Google My Business optimization should be considered.
What SEO services are right for me?
Link building, local SEO citation building and indexing, SEO content writing, on-page optimisation – there’s no shortage of SEO services.
SEO is a never-ending quest. This is because of new entrants to the market and Google’s resolve to provide its users with the best solution to their queries.

How much does SEO cost?
Do you do local SEO?
Yes – I can provide you with a one-off audit and optimisation of your Google My Business profile or provide ongoing support to help your GMB rank higher in the map pack for high-converting local SEO keywords.
If you’re interested in local SEO, you should check out my ‘How to rank GMB’ guide.
I do not offer GMB optimisation for ‘virtual’ locations.
Do you do link building?
Depending on your budget, goals, and timeline, there will be an element of link building in your project. I may achieve this through digital PR, guest posts, and reaching out to website owners and writers.
Request a chat with me to see if you’re a good fit for link building.
Do you offer other marketing services?
No. I specialise only in gaining organic visitors and increasing onsite conversions via search engine optimisation tasks such as keyword research, content strategy, site architecture design, link building, and onpage SEO.
I do not offer pay per click (Google Ads), web design or social media marketing (Facebook ads, Instagram/Pinterest digital marketing).
